This day-use site is in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. Twenty acres are developed, and 240 acres retain the natural characteristics typical of the region's temperate coniferous rainforest. Historical highlights of the surrounding area include evidence of the early native Kalapuya people, traces of pioneer homesteaders, and reminders of the colorful days of logging and timber booms.
