Climbing in the US National can mean rock climbing, rappelling, ice climbing, and mountaineering. Rock climbing usually involves climbing with hands and feet to ascend a sheer side of a mountain. Climbers typically use chalk bags and special shoes. Though rock climbing requires skill, with a good guide and teacher you can enjoy this activity if you have little courage, are in good physical condition and you observe the safety precautions.
